Specialty Durable Medical Equipment

Girl in wheelchair

When standard DME can no longer meet the needs of individuals or their caregivers, Seating Solutions is able to provide a specialty DME evaluation to determine the most appropriate equipment.

With individuals who have severe physical and functional impairments, caregivers are often challenged by the daily demands of providing care. Both individuals and caregivers may place themselves at high risk for injures due to the stress and physical demands in providing care. Specialized DME, referred to “Rehab Equipment” is available to those individuals who require total care and cannot participate in their daily care routine.

As occupational therapists, leisure is also considered for those who want to continue participating in life’s pleasures. We strive to find accessible equipment to allow individuals to participate in the activities they enjoy both inside and outside their home.
