Medicare’s 2011 Payment Reduction for Therapy Services
Today, Medicare released their final version of the 2011 reduction plan for the Physician’s Fee Schedule, which includes all therapy services under Medicare Part B. In addition, there will no longer be an exception to the therapy cap of $1870. per calendar year. This will greatly affect us and all Medicare Part B therapy providers. Those of us who specialize and have specific training and expertise in certain fields, such as complex power wheelchairs, seating & positioning, home modifications, and assistive technologies, will also affected by these reductions.
